My Travel Diaries: Japan Adventures Part 1 -Kyoto



Konichiwa dearies,

what are you guys up to this weekend? I am here to share with you guys my latest travel diaries in Japan. Yup, i just got back from Japan last Wednesday, 28.11.2018. My Japan travel diaries will have 3 parts - part 1(Kyoto), part 2 (Osaka), and part 3 (Tokyo). Ok, let's get started with my adventures in Kyoto.

Day 1: 16.11.2018 - KLIA - Kansai International Airport (Osaka)

My Japan adventures begins on the 16 of November 2018. We took a flight from KLIA to Kansai International Airport (Osaka) at 2245 hrs. We landed at Kansai airport early in the morning of 17 November 2018.


Day 2: 17.11.2018 - Train Ride to Kyoto, Keihan Hotel Kyoto, Tully's Coffee, Fushimi Inari Shrine, Kyoto Station, Kyoto Tower

We arrive at Kansai International Airport -Osaka in the early morning of 17 November 2018. After immigration, we took a train ride from Osaka to Kyoto. The train ride took us almost one hour to reached Kyoto. When we reached Kyoto, we check in at Keihan Hotel Kyoto. The hotel is situation nearby Kyoto Train Station. The hotel is also connected to shopping malls, restaurants, cafes, other hotels, and Kyoto Tower. What a strategic location for an accommodation.

After we checked in at Keihan Hotel, we went for breakfast at Tully's Coffee. Tully's Coffee is a Japanese brand coffee cafe. I'm sure those who often travel to Japan knows Tully's Coffee. After we had our breakfast, we begin our journey to Fushimi Inari Shrine. The experience visiting Fushimi Inari Shrine was so awesome. Everything was so beautiful there. We also had our chance to experience autumn colors.

After we visited Fushimi Inari Shrine, we went for a walk, shopping, and tried some street food at an area nearby. Then we went back to Kyoto Train Station for window shopping at the underground malls. At night we had dinner at Le Temps (a restaurant in Granvia Hotel). According to Have Halal Will Travel (HHWT), Le Temps provide halal menu. Granvia Hotel is also situated nearby Kyoto Train Station.

Day 3: 18.11.2018 - Golden Pavilion, Silver Pavilion, Gion, Le Temps Granvia Hotel

Green Tea (Matcha) Ice Cream is a MUST taste in Kyoto

On our third day in Kyoto, we begin our journey visiting the Golden Pavilion. The Golden Pavilion is also known as Kinkaku-ji. The Golden Pavilion is one the MUST visit in Kyoto. It is also one of the historical place in Kyoto. After we visited the Golden pavilion, we also get our chance to taste green tea (matcha) ice cream at a stall nearby. Green tea ice cream is a MUST taste in Kyoto. However, green tea ice cream is easy to find in Kyoto. Almost every street stalls sells green tea ice cream.

After the Golden Pavilion, we took a bus ride to the Silver Pavilion also known as the Ginkaku-ji. The Silver Pavilion isn't as majestic as the Golden Pavilion. The pavilion isn't silver in color. However, it is still a nice place to visit and enjoy the autumn colors.

At night, we visited Gion. Gion is another shopping district in Kyoto. The district has 2 sides -old and modern Gion. After we are done with Gion, we went back to Kyoto Station and had dinner at Le Temps Granvia Hotel.


Day 4: 19.11.2018 - Arashiyama Bamboo Forest, Kyoto Botanical Garden

On our fourth day in Kyoto, we visited the famous Arashiyama Bamboo Forest and Kyoto Botanical Garden. Arashiyama Bamboo Forest is very breathtaking and serene. The colors are so green and eye cooling. It is definitely a good place to visit for those who love nature.

After we are done with Arashiyama Bamboo Forest, we visited Kyoto Botanical Garden. Kyoto Botanical Garden is very beautiful and enchanting. So many beautiful flowers can be seen there. Those who loves nature, flowers, and gardening, Kyoto Botanical Garden is a place for you to visit in Kyoto.

Day 5: 20.11.2018- Sayonara Kyoto, Konichiwa Osaka

20th November 2018, was our last day in Kyoto and the end of my part 1 Japan Adventures. After breakfast, we checked out of Keihan Hotel and took a bus ride from Kyoto Station to Osaka. We had awesome and unforgettable memories at Kyoto. Syukur Alhamdulillah.
