5 Things I Like About Frozen 2
bonne December. It is the last month of 2019 already. So what are you guys up to this December? December is an exciting month for me. There are so many exciting events and things happening and coming in December. Holidays, vacations, parties, concerts, etc. Besides holidays and vacations, December is also a cinema season for me. There are so many awesome movies showing at the cinema in December. One of the movies showing in the cinema now is Frozen 2. I watched Frozen 2 twice already. So now, I am gonna share with you my simple thoughts on the movie and five things I like about it. Let's begin with the synopsis...
Frozen 2 is the sequel of Frozen. Frozen 2 set three years after the first movie. Frozen 2 follows Elsa, Anna, Olaf, Kristoff, and Sven who embark on an adventure to an enchanted forest (not far away from Arendelle) to learn about Arendelle's past and the origin of Elsa's magical powers. The story begins with a flashback scene, where King Agnarr (Elsa and Anna's father) told his daughters the story of the Enchanted Forest and the Northundra tribe. According to King Agnarr, King Runeard (the girls' grandfather) established a treaty with the Northundra tribe by building a dam in their homeland, the Enchanted Forest. The purpose of the dam is also to protect the Kingdom of Arendelle from getting flooded. However, something unwanted and unpredictable happened in the Enchanted Forest. People of Arendelle and Northundra end up fighting with each other. King Runeard died during the fight. Prince Agnarr was saved by a Northundra girl (who is actually Elsa and Anna's mother). Prince Agnarr returned home and was crown the King of Arendelle. King Agnarr also mentioned to his daughters that the fight enrages the elemental spirits of earth, water, fire, and air. The spirits disappeared and the mists traped everyone in the forest. King Agnarr also warned his daughters that although the door to the Enchanted Forest is now closed, one day it will be open again, and they all must be ready for it.
King Agnarr's warning to his daughters came true in Frozen 2. Queen Elsa keeps hearing a mysterious voice calling out to her. Feeling curious, Elsa followed the voice and she accidentally awakens the elemental spirits. The spirits forced everyone in Arendelle to evacuate the kingdom. That's when Elsa told Anna about the mysterious voice. On the same night, they were visited by Grand Pabbie and the trolls colony. Grand Pabbie told Elsa and Anna that they must set things right to save Arendelle. Elsa and Anna must travel to the Enchanted Forest, and discover about Arendelle's past. That's where Elsa, Anna, Kristoff, Sven, and Olaf's adventure begins.
Now let's share the five things I like about Frozen 2...
#1 The Animation Is Awesome
I am always a fan of Disney and Pixar movies. To me, Disney and Pixar animations are always the best. Disney and Pixar never fail their audiences. Frozen 2 animation is simply brilliant and awesome. I love all the effects the animators did. Watching Frozen 2 makes me able to feel the hard work that the animation team put for the movie.
#2 The Songs Are Awesome
Frozen 2 is a 90% musical animation film. In my opinion, Frozen 2 has better songs than Frozen 1. The songs in Frozen 2 makes the movie enjoyable to watch. I love listening to Into The Unknown (the theme song for Frozen 2). The tune is so catchy and motivating. I also love listening to Lost In The Woods. I think Lost In The Woods is a very cute song. The filmmaker makes it more adorable and interesting by having Kristoff sang this song with his reindeers' friends. Other songs that I enjoyed listening to are When I Am Older (perform by Olaf ^_^ that's another cute song), All Is Found, Some Things Never Change, and Show Yourself.
#3 Elsa And Anna's Relationship
The Frozen movie is always about sister-love-relationship. I love Elsa and Anna's relationship in the movie. I think Elsa and Anna are the most beautiful on-screen sisters ever. Both sisters aren't perfect and prone to making mistakes. But their love and teamwork complete each other. To me, that's what sisters are for ^_^
#4 The Messages In The Story
Frozen 1 is based on Hans Christian Anderson's fairy tale - The Snow Queen. But Frozen 2 is based on Norwegian and Icelandic legend. Frozen 2 has a deep meaning compare to Frozen 1. You need to watch and focus on the movie to understand the messages that the writer is trying to tell you. Besides magic and fairy tale, Frozen 2 is about sisters, love, nature, and the environment. My favorite quote from Frozen 2 is "Water has memories". I think it is a very beautiful quote.
To me, Olaf is the most adorable character in Frozen 2. Olaf steals the show. Olaf is innocent and also intelligent. He speaks wisdom words to his friends. Olaf is also the intelligent voice for Elsa and Anna. To me, Olaf is one of the most adorable Disney characters besides Winnie The Pooh and Tinkerbelle.
So these are the five things that I like about Frozen 2. To me, Frozen 2 is the best movie that I watched in 2019. Overall, I rated this movie 10/10. For those of you who haven't watch Frozen 2, I would highly recommend you to go to the cinema and watch the movie. Trust me, you'll love it, especially if love animation movies. For those of you who have watched Frozen 2, what do you guys think of the movie? Pls, share your opinion with me in the comment box below.
