NOVEL REVIEW: The Return Of The Young Prince By A.G. Roemmers

Eiyo dearies,

Fadima Mooneira is back. Today I'm going to share with you guys my review of a novel I read last December. The title of the novel is The Return of The Young Prince (TRTP). The novel was written by A.G. Roemmers. Now let's get started...

ABOUT A.G ROEMMERS

Alejandro Guillermo Roemmers is an Argentian author and businessman. He was born in Buenos Aires in 1958. Roemmers received international recognition as an author after publishing The Return of The Young Prince (TRTP) in 2016. Roemmers now resides in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

ABOUT THE RETURN OF THE YOUNG PRINCE

TRTP is based on Antoine de Saint-Exupery's classic, The Little Prince. In TRTP, the little prince returns to earth. He is no longer a little prince. He is now a young prince or a teenager.

The story begins when the narrator finds the Young Prince lying on a deserted road in the Patagonia desert. The Young Prince is alone. So the narrator rescues and takes the Young Prince with him on a road journey. The narrator is on his way to meet his old friends at a reunion party.

Along the journey, the Young Prince shares his stories and adventures with the narrator. The Young Prince also shares his sadness and problems. Together, they begin to explore some of life's most important questions - happiness, friendship, love, and kindness. They also learn new things from each other.

MY REVIEW

TRTP is not a sequel to The Little Prince. It is a completely different story by itself. According to my research findings, TRTP is actually Roemmers' life story on how he viewed the world.

The writing of this novel is brilliant. Roemmers' writing style is similar to Saint-Exupery's writing style. Like Saint-Exupery, Roemmers uses a lot of metaphors in his writing. Roemmers also uses the same point of view as Saint-Exupery.

TRTP is a good novel for light reading. The novel is a very quick read. The novel is only about 200 pages thick. TRTP novel also includes illustrations by Pietari Posti. Posti's illustrations are lovely to look at.

As a big fan of The Little Prince novel, I enjoyed reading TRTP as well. I rate TRTP 10/10. I believe  TRTP is a must-read novel for all bookworms, those who love light reading, and those who are a fan of The Little Prince novel.

TRTP is suitable for all ages. Both adults and kids can read this novel. Just like The Little Prince, TRTP is like a guide of life and it is a novel that you can tag along with you wherever you go.

Ok, that's all I want to share with you guys. So has anyone read TRTP? If yes, what are your opinions about the novel and A.G. Roemmers' writing style? And did you guys enjoy reading it?

That's all for now. Thank you for reading my review. Hope to see you guys again soon.

XoXo,

Fadima Mooneira ^_^

  7. I've read The Little Prince. It was an entertaining read but I'm not sure if I got all the hidden meanings. Sometimes works that are too abstract are lost on me. But I'll give this one a try too if I come across it.

    1. Same with me. I’d Google every chapter of The Little Prince after I finished reading it. The book has so many metaphors. But however, it is a beautiful book and one of my favorite reads.
